When you are in the car, do you play games? You can play road trip games with your kids or, even quick trip road games with them. Have them pick a word, then they have to find the letters of the word in order. In the beginning, have them choose a smaller word like C A T. I always had fun playing this game with my kids. Or, you can just pick out a word that you KNOW will be on a road sign and have them watch for it and point it out as you drive by. Word Search Puzzles
When you are done playing that game, you can have them play some word finding puzzles. Both of these games kept my kids busy for a few hours on the trip. At least until they got hungry. Finding fun and interesting reading games for your kids can sometimes be challenging so I hope this helps you.
