Reading Comprehension Strategies

It's not enough that your child knows how to read and identify words, but how well are they able to comprehend what they are reading? It's good for them to read their favorite book over and over again that way they are taking in more each time they hear the story. It's like when we read a book or watch a movie again, we notice things we didn't see before. The same with our children, the more they read, the more they will comprehend what is going on in the story and what a word means.
