Beginner's Reading

When your child first learns how to talk it's amazing. Then come the questions from those curious little minds. "What is that?" As they point around the house in curiosity.  That is when you take advantage of those questions and put it into play time. Make a list of the things they asked about and write them down on a sticky note. Put the sticky notes on the things they were curious about. Teach them what each word means. They will have fun with this and pretty soon they will learn their first "sight words." Teaching them to read at an early age will help develop better learning skills for when they are older. It will also help build their self-esteem.
